Congratulations Rod and Nancy!!
Nancy Harris joined the FSB team in 2006 as a member of the HR department. During her 20-year career at the bank, she added responsibilities in Marketing, as well as being the board secretary. After much success, Nancy has decided it is time to retire! One big highlight of Nancy’s time here is the GREAT team she has been part of. It is a team that works together to build customer relationships, not just process transactions.
When I asked Nancy what she would miss most about the bank, she simply stated, “My co-workers!” I feel confident when I say her co-workers will miss her too!
While she may be feeling a little bittersweet about this goodbye, Nancy is excited to have more time to visit her grandchildren. She is also looking forward to spending more time on her hobbies such as knitting, reading, and biking!
From the staff at FSB, a huge thank you! You have spent countless hours taking care of this bank and we are so very grateful. We all wish you the very best in retirement. Congratulations, Nancy!

Rod Jansen joined FSB in 2009 to manage the loan and deposit compliance areas of the bank, as well as do credit review. 16 years later, he is retiring from those same departments. Rod has made many friends and memories during his career with FSB. Some of his highlights include the community focus of our bank, a caring staff that strives to treat people and do things the right way, a positive work culture established by our management team, and a supportive local Board of Directors.
I asked Rod about something he would miss most about working at the bank. He will miss interacting with the staff and having a little bit of fun amidst all the work. Being part of FSB’s staff has been gratifying for Rod, as it is for many of us.
While leaving his bank family behind is bittersweet, Rod is looking forward to having more time with his spouse, Leanne, on their acreage. They plan to do some traveling and continue to be involved with community and church activities. Rod and Leanne also look forward to spending time with their family, children, and grandchildren, including a new grandchild in May!
From the staff at FSB, a heartfelt thank you! We wish you the very best in the next chapter of your life. Congratulations, Rod!
