Loan Assistant - Marshalltown
Open 5/13/13 until filled
Provides administrative support to loan officers by preparing loan disclosures, assisting with loan documentation preparation, preparing correspondence, and scheduling appointments. Ensures that loan documentation is in compliance with required standards and that collateral is properly recorded. Maintains the loan files by performing file maintenance and ensuring that the bank’s systems accurately reflect the loan status. Handles customers’ problems and inquiries. Prepares reports, compiling information as needed.
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma / GED; a degree from an office assistant program would be helpful.
A solid knowledge of bank products and procedures is required, with a minimum of 2 years loan experience preferred.
Qualifications and Skills:
The position requires attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required, with the ability to resolve problems and make decisions within assigned scope of authority. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is highly desirable. Also required is the ability to work with customers and to work effectively as a team contributor.
